Hill Wind Forge sits in Historic Auburn, California...same hills where prospectors once pulled gold from the earth. That heritage runs through every piece we make.
I'm Clint Stephens. I forge custom knives and swords by hand using techniques that connect California Gold Rush tradition with Viking-era blacksmithing. No machines. No shortcuts. Just fire, steel, and the hammer.
Each blade starts as raw steel stock and ends as a tool that'll outlast you. Damascus patterns that take 50 hammer strikes per inch. Handles from desert ironwood and stabilized maple. Heat treatment that puts edges at 58-61 Rockwell depending on what the knife needs to do.
